There's a moment when you're able to make the mental leap and everything shifts and suddenly, everything that didn't make sense before, now makes perfect sense.

That happened with Scott and Tessa about a week prior to Nationals. Serendipitous timing. I was frustrated, fed up and willing to just walk away; wondering why I was going to be making the trip across the country to see an ice dance team that I now almost hated.

Then there was that moment. Everything clicked into place. Ah, I get it now. It all makes sense. And suddenly, there was new joy in watching them.

It's been quite the journey, Scott and Tessa. We're not done yet.

When I said that I wanted Tessa and Scott to get hot and heavy on the ice, I wasn't expecting that to actually happen.

...

Yeah.

I've lost count of the number of times I've watched their Carmen. It wasn't perfect and that makes it even more exciting. If it's this amazing first time out, what's it going to look like the second, third, forth time?

Also, they're totally doing it. WE HAVE EYES, YOU TWO.

Dear Scott & Tessa:

I've lived through this nightmare before, okay? No need to do it again. That sinking feeling when it was announced you had withdrawn from Finlandia due to injury was all too familiar. I do hope that everything you said in the press release was the truth. Looking forward to Skate Canada.

Love, Kate

In Scott & Tessa world, things are never as simple as they seem. Maybe this time it is just a minor muscle strain. Maybe Scott wasn't partaking in the #PornStarDancing at the bar he was then spotted at the next night. Maybe I won't have to see the headline, "Virtue, Moir out of Skate Canada."

They aren't making it easy to be their fan. Since Scott bailed on Facebook, we're left with a website that's pretty but lacks any sort of content. They should just hire PJ Kwong as their PR rep since she's the only one who seems interested in doing anything for them.

To the surprise of absolutely no one, Tessa and Scott will be skating to Carmen for their free dance. It apparently includes a lift that looks like this:

ASDFJKLL:"AKKDJKLJL.

I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE, RIGHT NOW.

For the short dance, we have a gorgeous waltz composed by Hannibal Lecter. Who knew.

Why is it still over three weeks until Finlandia? Gah.

This stupid off-season is almost over. The number of cares that I give about the JGP is pretty much nil but the season of Senior B's is almost upon us (kinda). Rumour has it that Tessa & Scott will return to Finlandia but that hasn't been confirmed yet. We will be seeing Kaitlyn & Andrew debut their programs prior to the GP circuit. Paul/Islam showed fantastic skates at Thornhill and while they're not assigned to any GPs, they are assigned to two Senior B competitions. Someone with eyes needs to judge them against Gilles/Poirier.

Meanwhile, we're smack dab in the middle of Tessa and Scott's run at the CNE. Speculation on their off-ice activities runs rampant. On the ice, they continue to be completely fucking ridiculous. I have a lot of feels regarding this.

Also ridiculous: not knowing what their music is. What's the deal, Marina? The Carmen rumour will probably turn out to be true because apparently she wants them to bring teh DRAAAAMMAAA this season. I just want them to get hot and heavy on the ice, so hey, whatever. I've loved the SDs that I've seen so far, so I'm anxious to know what they have in store for us there.

In conclusion: TESSA AND SCOTT, GET MARRIED PLZ.

Everyone needs to go and weep over the beauty that is their new website.

GO ON. LOOK MORE LIKE A COUPLE IN EVERY SINGLE PHOTOGRAPH. I DARE YOU.

Son of a bitch. How did I make it through last year never mind the previous year when the Tessa/Scott off-season lasted pretty much through to the next season?! There was a brief period of activity with Igor's departure but that was all a bit anticlimactic. Media appearance in Toronto brought about one audio interview and a new article.

I don't know if we'll ever get the news that I'm waiting for but...I just want something. I gotta say, Facebook creeping is way less satisfying since Jess is no longer relevant to my interests.

My countdown timer says that it's 127 days until Skate Canada. How depressing. Hopefully there will another date I can add. All That Skate Summer? Senior B?

JFC, I was finding the off-season a tad boring but I didn't want for this mess to happen! Last year the partner-swapping was entertaining and didn't involve Tessa and Scott. Coaching dramaaaaz that affect Tessa and Scott are not cool.

So not cool.

So, what happens? T/S remain with Marina in Canton, along with the other top two teams. D/W side with Igor? The Shibs end up in the middle? Everyone leaves Canton? Whatever happens, I think this is the end of Team Canton.

:(
